URAC Accreditation

URAC is an independent, nonprofit organization, located in Washington, DC, whose mission is to advance healthcare quality through leadership, accreditation, innovation, measurement and accreditation.  URAC was founded in 1990 as an independent, third-party healthcare validator.  ECM is one of seven URAC accredited case management companies in PA and one of 74 throughout the country. Care coordination, transitions of care, patient engagement and advocacy are core principles for case management. URAC’s Case Management accreditation standards require companies to establish the policies, procedures and structure needed for optimal case management performance. By achieving URAC accreditation, case management programs display leadership through a commitment to quality and accountability.  ECM has been URAC accredited in Case Management since 2014.

ECM is the only Pennsylvania, Certified Woman-Owned business that is also URAC Accredited.

Many of our case managers are active participants in the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN), Case Management Society (CCMSA)  and Rehabilitation Professional organizations.

Kids’ Chance

ECM has been a proud Scholar Sponsor of Kids’ Chance of PA for more than 15 years.  The mission of Kids’ Chance is to provide scholarship grants for college and vocational education to children of PA workers who have been killed or seriously injured in a work-related accident resulting in a financial need.  The hardships created by the death or serious injury of a parent often create financial burdens, making it difficult for deserving young people to pursue their educational dreams. Annually, ECM participates in the Kids’ Chance golf outing, auctions, walk/run events and Kids’ Chance Cares, scholarship care packages.

Pennsylvania Self-Insurers’ Association (PSIA)

ECM has been a member of PSIA for more than 15 years.

Established in 1922, the PSIA is a long-standing and proud organization serving a select group of Pennsylvania organizations.

Our members have earned the privilege of self-insuring their workers compensation coverage along with the benefits of doing so. Therefore, PSIA members share a common interest—the improvement and protection of Pennsylvania’s Workers’ Compensation laws and regulations. This shared responsibility makes the PSIA a unique fellowship with a unique purpose.
