Where applicable by law, our Case Managers will work with employers, insurance carriers and third party administrators to develop worker’s compensation panels. Our case managers have expert knowledge of medical providers in geographic areas to assure easy access to those medical providers. We work with the employers to learn about the most frequent types of injuries and then tailor the worker’s compensation panel for inclusion of those medical specialists.
Absences from work may also be non-work related. Human Resources are often responsible for managing short term and long term disability claims. Our case managers will work collaboratively with Human Resources to obtain medical documentation, maintain ongoing communication with the employee and medical provider and facilitate return to work.
Worker’s Compensation Panels
Where geographically permitted, a workers’ compensation panel of providers is an essential tool to assist an employer in managing their work injuries for a specified period of time.
Disability Management
The purpose of a short/long term disability assignment is for the nurse consultant to assist the referral source in reviewing current medical records and treatment plan.
