Medical Liability Assessment
The purpose of a liability claims review is to provide a medical timeline and assessment of the alleged diagnosis, injury and or illness. The nurse consultant will review current medical records and obtain missing medical records to assess the appropriateness and necessity of treatment. The nurse consultant will assess the seriousness of the injury and if any potential medical errors in delivery of treatment are identified. Comorbid conditions will be identified that may impact the medical treatment and if over-utilization of medical treatment or diagnostic testing occurred.
